Exactly 79 years ago, about 238,500 Crimean Tatars were forcibly deported from their historical homeland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">As a result of such criminal actions of the Soviet Union, the death toll in the first years amounted to 46.2% of all those expelled.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">It is important to tell Ukraine and the whole world about the stories of those people who were forced to endure this horror.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The Crimean Tatar Resource Center calls on all Crimean Tatars whose relatives survived the mass deportation to share their stories. And besides that, share their photos that you can literally revive!<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">So, you can animate photos using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myheritage.de\/deep-nostalgia\">Deep Nostalgia\u2122 platform<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">On the platform, you can immediately upload photos without registration (through hovering the photo in the browser, or through the orange button), then the program will do everything for you and all that remains is to download the received video. The platform is absolutely free.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">After that, upload an animated photo with a personal story to your social networks with the hashtag #we_are_crimeantatars_no_genocide<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">We are launching this initiative for a whole year and on the 80th anniversary of the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people we will gather all the stories together and create an online memorial about the struggle of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people for the right to live in their homeland!<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Save your history. Tell us about the fate of your relatives who survived the forced deportation from their historical homeland and all subsequent repressions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The #LIBERATECRIMEA campaign was presented by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center as part of its project implemented under the USAID\/ENGAGE activity, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pact.
