In particular, Eskender Bariiev, Chairman of the Board of the C<span lang=\"EN-US\">T<\/span>RC, noted that in Ukraine there is no institute of the language of indigenous peoples, which would be involved in the development of the Crimean Tatar language. In addition, there is no position of Commissioner or his deputy for the protection of the language of indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">\u201cAn acute problem is the transliteration of Crimean Tatar names. Unfortunately, there are no uniform rules for writing Crimean Tatar names in Ukrainian, and therefore names are often spelled incorrectly in documents\u201d<span lang=\"EN-US\">,-<\/span>\u00a0he explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Taras Krem<span lang=\"EN-US\">in<\/span>\u00a0was informed that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people launched an information and advocacy campaign\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">R<\/span>eturn the names &#8211;\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">r<\/span>eturn Crimea, aimed at restoring historical toponyms in Crimea.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">\u201cIt is important to talk about this, because the destruction of historical toponyms in Crimea is an element of linguocide\u201d<span lang=\"EN-US\">,-<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span>Bariiev emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The parties agreed on the need for joint advocacy and development of the language of the indigenous people.
