{"id":216931,"date":"2023-01-11T11:42:03","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T09:42:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ctrcenter.orgoccupiers-handed-down-new-sentences-to-crimean-tatars"},"modified":"2023-01-21T18:45:41","modified_gmt":"2023-01-21T16:45:41","slug":"occupiers-handed-down-new-sentences-to-crimean-tatars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ctrcenter.org\/en\/occupiers-handed-down-new-sentences-to-crimean-tatars","title":{"rendered":"Occupiers handed down new sentences to Crimean Tatars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"xfmc2\">On Wednesday, January 11, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict to defendants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case Alim Karimov, Seyran Murtaza, Erfan Osmanov, Dzhemil Gafarov and Servet Gaziev.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">All political prisoners were sentenced to imprisonment for 13 years and restriction of freedom of movement after release for a period of 1 year, for Servet Gaziev and Alim Karimov &#8211; 1 year and 6 months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Recall that the two defendants &#8211; Dzhemil Gafarov and Servet Gaziev &#8211; are elderly with a disability and a massive list of chronic diseases.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" name=\"m_-2044484506355153639_m_4216132365053532236__Hlk124908836\" class=\"mce-item-anchor\"><\/a>It should be noted that the accusations in this&nbsp;<span lang=\"EN-US\">so-called&nbsp;<\/span>case are based on the testimony of hidden witnesses and the conclusion of so-called experts actively cooperating with the Russian security forces. Consideration of the&nbsp;<span lang=\"EN-US\">so-called&nbsp;<\/span>case took place with a gross violation of international law.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The Crimean Tatar Resource Center strongly protests and states that this decision is illegal, politically motivated and criminal.
