On December 9, the UK government imposed sanctions on 30 people for corruption, human rights violations and sexual offenses during conflicts around the world. This was reported by the press service of the government of the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

In particular, the sanctions list includes an employee of the Russian FSB in the occupied Crimea: Andrei Tishenin and former senior security officer of the Security Service of Ukraine Artur Shambazov.<\/p>\n

It is noted that in\u00a02015<\/span>\u00a0they tortured Ukrainian Oleksandr Kostenko.<\/p>\n

We remind you<\/span>\u00a0that the Magnitsky Act (The Rule of Law and Accountability Act named after Sergei Magnitsky) is a law adopted by the United States in\u00a02012<\/span>, which provides for the introduction of personal sanctions against persons involved in extrajudicial killings, torture and other gross violations of human rights, the rule of law law and corruption.<\/p>\n

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center is systematically working in this direction and in\u00a02021<\/span>\u00a0the CT<\/span>RC prepared and handed over a list of 50 people involved in the violation of human rights in the occupied Crimea to representatives of countries that have a law similar to the Magnitsky Act with a request to include them in the sanctions lists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
