Head<\/span> of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Head of the Department of<\/span> Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Eskender Bari<\/span>iev took part in the first panel on the topic Crimea and Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine: new challenges for human rights.<\/p>\n In his speech, the expert spoke about the violation of the collective rights of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people both in Crimea and in the new occupied territories of the Kherson and Zapori<\/span>zhzhia<\/span> regions, documented by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.<\/p>\n He raised one of the most urgent and painful topics for today, both for our compatriots in Crimea and for the whole of Ukraine – a forced mobilization into the Russian armed forces to participate in the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n “The world must increase pressure on Russia and use all available mechanisms to stop the illegal mobilization of the Crimean Tatar people into the Russian armed forces, which, in fact, is the death sentence for representatives of the indigenous people”,-<\/span> Bariev said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n According to the Head<\/span> of the Board of the CT<\/span>RC, representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, in order to avoid participation in war crimes committed by Russia on the territory of Ukraine, massively travel to Kazakhstan, Georgia, Turkey, Poland and other third countries. There are currently more than 2,000 people in Kazakhstan alone. However, they do not have temporary housing for their further stay and do not have enough financial resources; many people have a problem with obtaining Ukrainian documents, which can lead to a humanitarian catastrophe.<\/p>\n In his speech, Barii<\/span>ev voiced recommendations for international organizations (UN, OSCE, Red Cross, etc.) and member countries – the Crimean Platform.<\/p>\n “The Crimean Tatar Resource Center made an appeal to the above-mentioned international organizations and is actively working to fulfill their mandate in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.
