The so-called elections took place in the Russian Federation. During the voting, in violation of the norms of international law, polling stations were illegally opened in the occupied Crimea and the citizens of Ukraine living in ODDLR were forcibly recruited en masse. In addition, a number of politicians from some countries, in particular from France, illegally visited the occupied peninsula as the so-called observers.<\/p>\n
In this regard, the International Movement for the De-occupation of Crimea and Solidarity with the Crimean Tatar People #LIBERATECRIMEA states that the Ukrainian authorities and the international community should react firmly to the fact of holding the so-called elections in the occupied territories.<\/p>\n
#LIBERATECRIMEA requires:<\/p>\n
– From the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the parliaments of the member states of the Crimean Platform and international organizations (UN, NATO, EU, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe) not to recognize the results of the so-called elections to the State Duma, not only in the occupied Crimea, but in general ;<\/p>\n
– From the member states of the Crimean Platform, whose citizens visited the occupied Crimea during the so-called elections, to take measures that are provided for by their own national legislation against these citizens;<\/p>\n
– On behalf of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, take measures to introduce new personal sanctions against persons involved in organizing, holding and observing the so-called elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n
In addition, the International Movement for the De-occupation of Crimea and Solidarity with the Crimean Tatar People #LIBERATECRIMEA reserves the right to hold public events and intensify communication with politicians around the world on the issue of non-recognition by parliaments of other states of the results of the so-called elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation as a whole.<\/p>\n
#LIBERATECRIMEA believes that these steps can become an effective tool to contain the aggressor state, and notes that the recognition of the results of the so-called elections in Russia will demonstrate the weakness of the civilized world and push the Kremlin to increase its aggression against Ukraine and the Western community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
