“Qurultay was restored 30 years ago. It was a great event for the Crimean Tatar people, because in this way the Crimean Tatars demonstrated the integrity of the nation and subjectivity. Then our people restored all their symbols: the flag, coat of arms, and a declaration of national sovereignty was adopted”,- emphasized Bariiev.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Head of the CTRC also recalled that the Day of the Crimean Tatar Flag was celebrated on June 26 and noted that when this idea was developed in 2008, this date was supposed to unite all Crimean Tatars, demonstrate subjectivity and call for the struggle for their rights.<\/p>\n

\n

“Taking into account all the events that have taken place since 2014, the Crimean Tatar flag is not only an attribute of the Crimean Tatar people, but also a symbol of the struggle for the de-occupation of Crimea”,- he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In addition, Bariiev believes that the restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people as an indigenous people is ineffective without the participation of the academic environment.<\/p>\n
