{"id":169038,"date":"2021-06-25T17:00:30","date_gmt":"2021-06-25T14:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ctrcenter.org6989-zhinki-krimskotatarskogo-narodu-v-krimu-zaznayut-chislennih-porushen-svoyih-prav-zarema-bariyeva"},"modified":"2021-06-25T17:00:30","modified_gmt":"2021-06-25T14:00:30","slug":"6989-zhinki-krimskotatarskogo-narodu-v-krimu-zaznayut-chislennih-porushen-svoyih-prav-zarema-bariyeva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ctrcenter.org\/en\/6989-zhinki-krimskotatarskogo-narodu-v-krimu-zaznayut-chislennih-porushen-svoyih-prav-zarema-bariyeva","title":{"rendered":"Women of the Crimean Tatar people in Crimea are subjected to numerous violations of their rights &#8211; Zarema Bariieva"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/files\/ck\/image\/quick-folder\/206953355_4790619240954189_6615203012840960083_n.jpg\" style=\"width: 800px; height: 471px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of this event is to develop general recommendations on the rights of indigenous women and girls, for the creation of which the Crimean Tatar Resource Center provided a written submission on the discrimination of wives, mothers and daughters of political prisoners in Crimea and the psychological abuse they experienced by the occupation authorities.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&ldquo;&nbsp;<span dir=\"auto\">At the moment 64 wives,119 mothers and 98 daughters are experiencing severe mental pain because their husbands, fathers and sons were illegally arrested for far-fetched cases and more over were transported to the Russian Federation far from their homeland<\/span>&nbsp;&rdquo;,-&nbsp;Bariieva said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In particular, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center describes cases of persecution of&nbsp;&nbsp;<span dir=\"auto\">Fatma Ismailova, Lilya Budzhurova, Lenara Mustafaeva,Elina Mamedova, Nazife Seytumerova, Nadzhie Kaidanova, Gulsum Aliieva, Aliye Kendzhe-Ali, Lutfiye Zudiyeva, Mumine Saliieva,Gulsum Khalilova, Lilia Gemedzhi, Venera Mustafaeva,Sevila Omerova,Emine Abdulganieva and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, due to the activities of the illegal occupation authorities on the territory of the peninsula, women in Crimea are deprived of the opportunity to actively participate in political life, and, consequently, in decision-making regarding their communities and territories.<\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">&quot;Unfortunately, by the decision of the so-called Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea dated April 26, 2016, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, the representative body of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, was banned.&nbsp;<span dir=\"auto\">Traditionally, the Crimean Tatar women took an active part in political life of their nation. After the prohibition of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people by the Russian Federation 4 indigenous Crimean Tatar women out of 33 members of Mejlis, 18 Crimean Tatar women out of 248 delegates of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people and more than 100 representatives of indigenous Crimean Tatar women out of 2,500 thousand members of regional and local Mejlises are limited in the right to exercise their own representative functions, since staying in this capacity on the territory of the Crimean peninsula threatens to be prosecuted as a member of an &quot;extremist organization&quot;<\/span>, &#8211; said the manager of the CTRC.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So it is worth noting that women of the indigenous Crimean Tatar
