“PACE, unfortunately, does not betray double standards. The adopted resolution calling for the use of Ukrainian legislation in Crimea (on the territory of Russia!!!) is generally the height of absurdity, primarily from a legal point of view. It is time for the Assembly to stop churning out decisions that should be implemented. Russia will obviously not be due to their contradiction to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and national law. Then, perhaps, the mutual dialogue will be conducted from a more constructive position”,- Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the Russian State Duma's international affairs committee, wrote via his Telegram page.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin even stated that the State Duma of Russia wants to initiate the issue of banning the entry into the country for the author of the report submitted to PACE.<\/p>\n

In addition, Volodin wants to raise this issue during a meeting with the Chairman of the Icelandic Parliament, as “the speaker provided false information, distorted the real situation.”<\/p>\n

We remind that on June 23, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution on the rights of the Crimean Tatars in the occupied Crimea.
