Radar satellite imagery refers to active methods of remote sensing, in which the source of electromagnetic radiation is the satellite system itself, which makes it independent of weather conditions, cloudiness and time of day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/files\/ck\/image\/quick-folder\/188482546_302673011488629_2777904919004845323_n.jpg\" style=\"text-align: justify; width: 800px; height: 450px;\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&ldquo;As a result of the analysis of the state of water bodies within the Crimean Peninsula during the winter and spring period of 2021, using the Sentinel-1 satellite radar data, a decrease in the water surface of almost all water bodies by an average of 33% was revealed&rdquo;,-&nbsp;said expert Yevhen Khlobystov.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/files\/ck\/image\/quick-folder\/187821357_908488096658303_4490782941765640401_n.jpg\" style=\"text-align: justify; width: 800px; height: 450px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, in six reservoirs, the area of the water&nbsp;surface&nbsp;has decreased by more than 40%, these are Frontove, Partyzansk, Simferopol, Zahirsk, Taihan and Mizhhirsk&nbsp;reservoirs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The experts concluded that now there is a reduction in the area of the water surface for virtually all large reservoirs of the Crimean peninsula, compared to the area of the water surface in 2013.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/files\/ck\/image\/quick-folder\/188258250_1160925704425213_7247434832812070923_n.jpg\" style=\"text-align: justify; width: 800px; height: 450px;\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&ldquo;Despite the fact that there is a catastrophic shortage of water in Crimea, the occupation authorities continue to declare that they are expecting a holiday season&nbsp;with&nbsp;many thousands&nbsp;of tourists. Unfortunately, we see that the militarization of Crimea continues, when a lot of military equipment and soldiers are brought in. Moreover, we see a process&nbsp;of&nbsp;population replacement, that is, the active settlement of Crimea by citizens of the Russian Federation. What will this lead to? We do not know.
