In 1944, about 193 thousand women, the elderly and children were forcibly deported, and when the servicemen returned, there was an additional purge. In total, 238 thousand people were deported. During the first years there was a mass death of Crimean Tatars &#8211; about 110 thousand. They&nbsp;were&nbsp;restricted&nbsp;in&nbsp;movement, were not allowed to live in their homeland, use their native language, and even exist&rdquo;,-&nbsp;Bariiev said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking about the present, the expert emphasized that the occupation power, violating the rights of the Crimean Tatars, continues the genocide of the indigenous people.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&ldquo;I would like the Ukrainian authorities to pay dignified attention to this issue and finally legislatively regulate those problems that are the consequences of the deportation of 1944, when the collective rights of the Crimean Tatar people were grossly violated.
