The round table on the topic: Crimean Platform: the path to the de-occupation of Crimea was organized by the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights, De-occupation and reintegration of temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, national minorities and interethnic relations and support of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by MPs of Ukraine, representatives of central executive authorities, human rights organizations and religious organizations.<\/p>\n

During his speech, the Head of the Board of the CTRC stressed that the topic of the Crimean Platform increasingly began to sound not only from the lips of Ukrainian politicians and officials, in the Ukrainian information space, but was also reflected in the latest Resolution of the European Parliament On Ukraine's Implementation of the Association Agreement" February 11, 2021. Therefore, according to the expert, it is very important that the Ukrainian side not only clearly formulates the mission, vision, goals, objectives and indicators of the activities of the Crimean Platform, but also legislatively regulates the issues of reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories.<\/p>\n

Noting the draft law On the State Policy of the Transition Period proposed for public discussion, Bariiev stressed that no criteria were proposed for assessing and measuring public danger from persons who in the temporarily occupied territories collaborate with the occupation administrations of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

“The Crimean Tatar Resource Center is systematically working towards the adaptation of analogous laws to the Magnitsky Act in order to impose personal sanctions against persons responsible for human rights violations in Crimea, therefore, it offers a Methodology for assessing the feasibility of introducing personal sanctions against persons in temporarily occupied territories who collaborate with the occupation administrations of the Russian Federation, which can be applied both in the finalization of the draft law On the state policy of the transition period, and in the subsequent implementation of legislative regulation of the reintegration of the occupied territories”,- he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Eskender Bariiev explained that it is expedient to assess the forms of collaboration in relation to a specific person with a view to subsequently responding to his or her actions by applying a number of indicators of responsibility to him or her.<\/p>\n

\n

“12 indicators are proposed to determine such responsibility in the measurement of sanctions policy, which should be applied in their totality. 1 to 9 are compiled arithmetically and the scores of indicators from 10 to 12 are deducted from the received number”,- said the Head of the board of the CTRC.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
