Strogonovka, Simferopol district, detained five representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people &#8211; Uzeir Abdullayev, Teymur Abdullayev, Rustem Ismailov, Emil Dzhemadenov and Ayder Saledinov. They were accused of participation in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, which was banned in the Russian Federation. They are charged with Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (&quot;organizing the activities of a terrorist organization and participating in it&quot;).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On June 18, 2019, the North Caucasian District Military Court of the Russian Federation passed sentences to the defendants in the Simferopol &quot;Hizb ut-Tahrir case.&quot; Teymur Abdullaev was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony with restriction of liberty for a period of 1 year and 6 months, Rustem Ismailov &#8211; to 14 years, Uzeir Abdullaev &#8211; to 13, Ayder Saledinov and Emil Dzhemadenov &#8211; to 12 years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On December 24, 2019, the Supreme Court in Moscow reduced the terms of imprisonment for the defendants in the Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case by 6 months.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The defendant in the so-called Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case, Teymur Abdullaev, who had previously been seriously ill with coronavirus, is not being given medicines.
