The general license states that from January 1, 2021, British ships were allowed to transfer transit fees for passage through the Kerch Strait and fees for using the Crimean ports.<\/p>\n

British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons denied information about the alleged easing of sanctions against Russia for the annexation of Crimea.<\/p>\n

“The UK supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and complies with the sanctions against Russia for the illegal annexation of Crimea. The report that these sanctions have been eased is false. The general license issued by the British Ministry of Finance for the seaports of Crimea reproduces the purpose and content of the license derogation provided for in Article 6a Council Decision of the EU No. 269\/2014, and, therefore, retains the effect of a similar policy”,- the message said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
