Let us recall that on March 27, 2019, in the occupied Crimea, Russian security forces conducted mass searches in 26 houses of the Crimean Tatar people. They confiscated literature from some of the activists, which, according to the "Crimean Solidarity,” the security officials planteds themselves. Not only books and brochures but also cell phones, tablets, laptops, and passports were confiscated. The officers went into the houses with shoes on, behaved in a brutal manner, and uapplied physical force against the detainees. The lawyers who arrived at the scene were not allowed to see their clients. As a result, 20 people were detained being suspected of their involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in the Russian Federation. On March 28, the FSB officers arrested three more Crimean Tatar activists who had their houses searched in absentia. Over the two days, the occupation court arrested all 23 Crimean Tatar activists detained after the investigation and chose the preventive measure in the form of detention.
