There are UN resolutions regarding them, many human rights organizations have recognized them as political prisoners,&nbsp;they carry out a very large public control&rdquo;,- said lawyer Edem Semedlyaev.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We remind&nbsp;that on&nbsp;October&nbsp;12, 2016, Russian security forces in the village of&nbsp;Strohonivka of Simferopol region arrested five representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people &#8211; Uzeir Abdullaev, Teymur Abdullaev, Rustem Ismailov, Emil Dzhemadenov and Aider Saledinov as a result of mass searches. They were accused of participating in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in the Russian Federation&nbsp;and&nbsp;charged with article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (&ldquo;organizing the activities of a terrorist organization and participating in it&rdquo;).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On June 18, 2019, the North Caucasian District Military Court of the Russian Federation sentenced&nbsp;the so-called&nbsp;Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case&nbsp;defendants:&nbsp;Teymur Abdullaev&nbsp;to 17 years in a maximum security penal colony&nbsp;with a probation term&nbsp;of&nbsp;1 year and 6 months, Rustem Ismailov &#8211; to 14 years, Uzeir Abdullaev &#8211; to 13&nbsp;years, Ayder Saledinov and Emil Dzhemadenov &#8211; to&nbsp;12&nbsp;years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On December 24, 2019, the Supreme Court in Moscow reduced the terms of imprisonment of the&nbsp;so-called&nbsp;Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case&nbsp;defendants&nbsp;by 6 months.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The defendant in the so-called Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case, Teymur Abdullaev, was again placed in a punishment cell for 10 days.
