In his speech, Bariiev presented a comparative analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea over the past three years (2018, 2019 and 2020), prepared by the team of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, as well as a classification of victims of occupation developed by the CTRC team.<\/p>\n
Also, a member of Mejlis voiced recommendations at the international level for Croatia:<\/p>\n
1. To improve the mechanism for monitoring the implementation of the EU sanation policy.<\/p>\n
2. To introduce a mechanism for applying sanctions against individuals involved in the violation of human rights by analogy with the Magnitsky Act, the Baltic countries are an example.<\/p>\n
3. To provide political patronage to political prisoners of Crimea by deputies of the European Parliament and well-known politicians and public figures of Croatia.<\/p>\n
4. The Croatian Parliament is recommended to recognize the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people in 1944 as an act of genocide, as an ongoing crime, that has been going on since 2014 with the beginning of the occupation of Crimea.<\/p>\n
\n“I’m sure that only with active joint opposition to the gross violation of human rights in the occupied Crimea will we be able to protect not only the indigenous people of Crimea – the Crimean Tatars and Ukraine, but also Europe and the whole world”,- said the Head of the Board of the CTRC.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
