He is a Crimean Tatar Ukrainian citizen, born in 1961, residing in the Novoalekseevka village in the Kherson region. Detained around, 8.30 a.m. on 12 December 2018, his location remained unknown until evening.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 13 December, Kyiv district &ldquo;court&rdquo; in Simferopol put Edem Bekirov under arrest until 11 February 2019. On 20 December, Federal Security Service indicted him on the illegal arms&rsquo; circulation, transportation, sale, storage, and transportation of explosives (part 2, article 222, Constitution of Ukraine; part 2, article 222.1 Constitution of Ukraine).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 11 June, the European Court of Human Rights ordered to urgently hospitalize Edem Bekirov.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 10 July, the European Court of Human Rights ordered to conduct an independent and specialized medical examination and prepare separate, detailed conclusions on all of his health problems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On August 27, the Central District &ldquo;court&rdquo; of Simferopol changed the measure of restraint and released him from the Simferopol pre-trial detention center under an obligation to appear in the &ldquo;court&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Edem Bekirov is one of the Crimean Tatar activists in Novoalekseevka village. He is a disabled person of group I. In January 2018, he went through a difficult coronary artery bypass surgery.
