“Immediately after the ending of quarantine in Crimea, all residents will have to deal with a drought. An unprecedented drought is approaching Crimea this year. Heavy rainfall has not occurred for several months and is not expected in the near future. Crimean reservoirs have a critical reserve of water. Humidity of the soil in the fields of Crimea today is around 4-6%, instead of 40-50% at the average annual rate for the period of this time of year. Obviously, an emergency due to lack of water  will have to be introduced in early summer”,- the report said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Zubkov believes that an emergency should be announced due to lack of water in order to reduce the effects of drought. Water in the Bilohirsk reservoir may end already in late May – early June and “what will happen to the water supply in Kerch, Sudak, Feodosia, as well as the villages of eastern Crimea in July-August?”<\/p>\n

“Today there is still no sweltering heat, today cities still have at least some reserves in adjacent small reservoirs, and there is still a lot of bottled water in stores. Today we are not talking about saving agriculture, it will simply be left at nature’s mercy.
