Previously, at the event "Unbroken Ukraine: the price of freedom", held in Ireland, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people organized the exhibition "Crimean Tatars" on the history of the Crimean Tatar people from the beginning of its ethnogenesis to the annexation of Crimea, an exhibition of portraits of political prisoners, missing and dead people during the period of the occupation of the peninsula and the exhibition of posters #LiberateCrimea.<\/p>\n

Eskender and Zarema Bariiev presented the reports on human rights violations in the occupied Crimea and awarded diplomas and Crimean Tatar souvenirs to the organizers of the event, ambassadors and politicians.<\/p>\n

“I want to express my gratitude to the Association of Ukrainians of Ireland and its leader Mykola Krutsyk for organizing such an important event, attended by about 400 people: politicians, ambassadors, representatives of the Ukrainian, Polish, Lithuanian and Georgian diasporas in Ireland, public figures of Ireland. We tried to do our best to show the full picture of what is going on in Ukraine – we presented reports, three exhibitions, and prepared handouts. Thanks to this event, we not only informed the residents of Ireland, but also expanded the circle of friends of the Crimean Tatar people. During the event, the Association of Irish Ukrainians raised funds, 2,000 euros, to be distributed among the five families of Crimean prisoners,” said Eskender Bariiev.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“This is a good initiative that can become an example to diasporas in other countries. I hope that such actions will be carried out systematically and in different countries,” said the head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
