"Timur Ibrahimov’s lawyer Omelchenko requests a challenge to the presiding judge, because during the preliminary investigation, the presiding judge personally announced the indictment, thus familiarizing himself with the prosecution before the trial", – the statement mentioned.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

However, in the end, the challenge was not satisfied.<\/p>\n

We remind that on the 11th of October 2017, in the city of Bakhchisaray, the invaders carried out mass searches in 6 dwellings of Crimean Tatars – Marlen Asanov, Seyran Saliiev, Timur Ibrahimov, Memet Belyalov, Ernest Ametov, Server Zekiryaev. Everyone was detained. They were charged under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Participation in the activities of an organization which, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, is recognized as terrorist."<\/p>\n

On the 21st of May 2018, Russian security forces raided the dwellings of activists of the Crimean Solidarity public association in occupied Crimea, as a result of which Server Mustafayev and Edem Smailov were detained. They were accused of their membership in Hizb ut-Tahrir organisation, which is banned on the territory of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

On the 14th of December 2018, Server Mustafayev was sent to a psychiatric hospital for a so-called examination. Mustafayev later described this measure as a punitive psychiatry.<\/p>\n

In February 2019, Mustafayev was accused of spreading, studying and propagating extremist ideology.<\/p>\n

On the 12th of September 2019 eight individuals involved in the so-called second Bakhchysaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case –  Marlen Asanov, Seyran Saliiev, Timur Ibrahimov, Memet Belyalov, Ernest Ametov, Server Zekiryaev,  Edem Smailov and Server Mustafayev – were transferred from Crimea to Rostov.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
