The following people were transferred from the Russian Federation to Crimea: Rustem Sheikhaliev, Izzet Abdullaev, Seytveli Seytabdiev, Akim Bekirov, Alim Karimov, Asan Yanikov, Riza Izetov, Veli Abdulkadyrov, Enver Ametov, Remzi Bekirov, Osman Arifmemetov, Farkhod Baz Tofig Abdulgaziev, Rustem Seitkhalilov, Medzhit Abdurakhmanov.<\/p>\n

“During the investigation process, the accused of the second Simferopol case are identified by a secret witness. Judicial sessions on the extension of arrest have already been held in some of the defendants in Crimea. After the completion of the investigative experiments, everyone will be taken back to Rostov-on-Don,” the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On August 9, the Kyiv district "court" of Simferopol extended the detention of Akim Bekirov, Seitveli Seytabdiev, and Asan Yanikov. On August 12, the Leninsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don extended the term of arrest to Riza Izetova, Remzi Bekirova, Shaban Umerov, and Ruslan Suleymanov, and the Kirov district court of Rostov-on-Don extended the term of arrest to Osman Arifmemetov, Vladlen Abdulkadyrov, Servetu Gaziev, Rustem Sheikhaliev, Farhod Bazarov, and Bilyal Adilov. On August 13, Tagansky District Court of the Rostov region extended the detention of four more defendants in the second Simferopol “Hizb ut-Tahrir case”. Seyran Murtaza, Medzhit Abdurakhmanov, Enver Ametov, and Rustem Seitkhalilov will remain in jail until November 14, 2019. On August 13, the Shakhty City Court of the Rostov region extended the detention until November 15 to Yashar Muedinov and Tofik Abdulgaziev.<\/p>\n

Previously, on March 27, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea carried out mass searches in 26 Crimean Tatars households. Literature was seized from some activists, which, according to Crimean Solidarity organization, the security forces planted themselves. In addition to books and brochures, phones, tablets, laptops, passports were confiscated. The security forces behaved rudely. They have reportedly used physical force against detainees. They did not bother to take off their shoes when entering the house. Lawyers arriving at the site of the searches were not allowed to see detainees. As a result, 20 people were arrested under the suspicion of their involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, which is banned in the Russian Federation. On March 28, three more Crimean Tatar activists were detained, in whose households’ searches were carried out in their absence. The whereabouts of yet another Crimean Tatar – Eden Yayachikov – remains unknown. On March 27-28, the occupation court arrested all 23 detainees. All detainees were accused of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in the Russian Federation and were detained until May 15. Later, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova said that information about the whereabouts of previously arrested Crimean Tatars in the Rostov region was confirmed.
