The legislation of Russia in the field of extremism and terrorism as a tool to combat lawyers and activists,&quot; said Emil Kurbedinov.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On December 6, 2018, employees of the so-called Center for Countering Extremism in the occupied Crimea detained the lawyer Emil Kurbedinov. On December 7, the Kiev district &quot;court&quot; of Simferopol arrested Kurbedinov for 5 days. He was charged with article 20.3 of the&nbsp;Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses (&ldquo;propaganda or public demonstration of attributes or symbols of extremist organizations&rdquo;) for a post on Facebook dated of 2013.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, on January 26, 2018, the Zheleznodorozhny district &quot;court&quot; of Simferopol found the lawyer Emil Kurbedinov guilty of an administrative offense under the same article 20.3 of the&nbsp; Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses.
