CTRC and the German Embassy will cooperate in the direction of protecting the rights of children in Crimea
The team of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center held a meeting with the representative of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Lukas Clemens Böhm. The diplomat was told about the situation in the occupied Crimea, and the interlocutors also discussed the progress of the project to protect the rights of children in the occupied Crimea, which was supported by the department.
The meeting participants were: Deputy Head of the Consular and Legal Department of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Lukas Clemens Böhm, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Eskender Bariiev, managers of the CTRC Zarema Bariieva and Liudmyla Korotkykh.
The interlocutors discussed the adopted law of Ukraine "On the Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine" and on the position of the CTRC on this document, on the representation of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people in the Crimean platform. In addition, the diplomat was informed about the main threats posed by the Russian Federation in the occupied Crimea.
The attache was told about the situation with human rights violations in the occupied Crimea, about political prisoners who disappeared and died during the occupation of the peninsula. Representatives of the CTRC told Lukas Clemens Böhm the number of children left without parental care.
