Occupants held regular military exercises in Crimea

22 February 2021

On Monday, February 22, despite the spread of coronavirus infection, another illegal military exercise took place in the occupied Crimea, during which more than 50 pieces of equipment and about 500 military personnel were involved. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

“The assembly involved more than 50 units of military and special equipment, including Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 152-mm Msta-B howitzers, 120-mm 2S9 Nona-S self-propelled artillery mounts, as well as mortars “Sleigh” and “Tray”,- the message said.

It is noted that the military fired at stationary and moving targets imitating armored vehicles and manpower of a conventional enemy.

We remind that military exercises, propaganda of military service and conscription into the ranks of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held in the occupied Crimea. The Russian military exercises are destroying the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a flagrant violation of international law.

Earlier, NATO in its statement on Crimea condemned Russia's ongoing large-scale military build-up in Crimea and expressed concern over Russia's efforts and announced plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
