Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of OSCE monitoring in occupied Crimea

First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova, during a meeting with Yaşar Halit Çevik, Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, emphasized the importance of effectively fulfilling the SMM's mandate, which extends throughout Ukraine, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the department.

"Emine Dzhaparova emphasized the importance of effectively fulfilling the mandate of the SMM, which extends throughout Ukraine, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, to ensure that the international community is informed about the situation in the occupied territories of Ukraine," the statement said.

In turn, Halit Çevik noted that the proper implementation by the OSCE observers of the Mission’s mandate in the current difficult conditions remains his priority.
