The occupiers forbid reporting on explosions at their bases in Crimea - Bariiev

30 August 2022

The Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the Head of the department of legal and foreign affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Eskender Bariiev, said in an interview with the Apostrophe that the occupiers forbid reporting on explosions at their bases in Crimea.

According to him, the withdrawal of even half of the territory of the Kherson region is extremely undesirable for the Kremlin due to the growing threats to the occupation base in Crimea. In this case, there will be even more pops and fireworks" on the peninsula, which will significantly affect not only the (already low) morale of the Russian army, but also finally balance the mood among the Crimean collaborators.

"After the liberation of the Kherson region, the position of the collaborators in Crimea and the Russian officials who arrived will become even more precarious. We can already see the fear in their eyes and the lack of aggressive courage and pathos that was observed at the beginning of the invasion. Many well-known collaborators once again try not to make public statements about the so-called special operation. The Kremlin sees this fear and tries to eliminate it with the help of bans on reporting explosions at occupation bases and increased propaganda in educational institutions and labor groups",- he said.
