Crimes of the Russian Federation will not go unnoticed – Bariiev

July 19, 2021

Eskender Bariiev, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, said in an interview to the UA: Crimea TV channel that the crimes of the Russian Federation in the occupied Crimea will not go unnoticed. This fact is confirmed by the resolution on Crimea, which was previously adopted by the UN Human Rights Council.

“The UN Human Rights Council is a fairly authoritative organization that shapes the UN agenda. The resolution that was adopted on July 13, 2021 was based on the previous resolutions of the UN General Assembly”,- Bariiev said.

The main thing that is emphasized in the resolution is that the UN and the Human Rights Council will observe the actions of the Russian Federation in Crimea.

“This is the main message for Russians. The human rights violations they commit in Crimea will not go unnoticed. And we, for our part, will inform the international community about such facts”,- he added.

We remind you that the UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution Cooperation with Ukraine and assistance to it in the field of human rights. 45 countries became co-authors of the document together with Ukraine.
