26 March 2021

Expert of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Yevhen Khlobystov on the air of the ATR TV channel commented on the Strategy for the de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea, stating that this document is full of declarative statements, but there is no specific step-by-step sequence of actions on how to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“In fact, this document is not about the de-occupation of Crimea, but about our idealistic vision, how we would like this process to take place. The process of de-occupation of Crimea should continue systematically, constantly and daily”,- the expert noted.

Khlobystov singled out 62 position of the strategy on environmental policy, which notes that “Ukraine is taking measures to continue monitoring the environment in the temporarily occupied territory.”

“But how can we do this? We are not allowed into this territory, we can do this by remote sensing, for example, or taking into account the data provided by the Russian Federation about Crimea?”,- he summed up.

Yevhen Khlobystov stressed that the entire strategy is full of declarative statements, and not a specific step-by-step sequence of actions on how to restore the territorial independence and integrity of Ukraine.
