On Tuesday, July 14, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center based on the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center presented an online analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea for the first half of 2020, in which it revealed the main trends, dynamics and the number of offenses on the peninsula for the reporting period. According to the CTRC report, the number of violations compared to last year decreased over the same period. This, according to experts, is associated with the coronavirus pandemic. However, the trend of searches, detentions, interrogations, arrests and other violations remains unchanged. People on the occupied peninsula continue to fall under the round of repression by the Russian authorities.

According to the organization, during the reporting period, Russian security forces conducted 23 searches, 48 arrests and 52 interrogations, interviews and “conversations”. The total number of arrests is 150: 28 - new arrests / sentences, 122 - extensions of detention. There were 231 cases of violation of the right to a fair trial, 74 - to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health. Also, 27 cases of transfer of political prisoners of Crimea were recorded.
