On June 18, in the frame of UN Human Rights Council (HRC) interactive dialogue on Ukraine, the Russians issued a statement by the so-called "Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea" under the President of Russia, Mr. Muradov.
Of course, no one will take seriously this piece of paper as a document through the applicant’s title, but the Russians act exactly in accordance with their proverb “by hook or by crook”.
Russia on its own initiative discusses Crimean issues at the UN and, precisely in the "Ukrainian" dialogue.
At the same time, a large “political farce” is planned in Russia on July 1, 2020 - voting on amendments to the Constitution of Russia which would reset term limits, giving Vladimir Putin the ability to run again when his current term expires. And in this "farce" Russia plans to involve residents of the occupied Crimea and temporarily occupied and uncontrolled territories of Ukraine (ORDLO).
So, what did Muradov want to say? And is it necessary to take part in the referendum?
We’ll talk about this in the 44th release of the #LIBERATECRIMEA blog.
