Eskender Bariiev: “Our task is to inform Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territories as much as possible about the threat of coronavirus”
The Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, a member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Eskender Bariiev, on air of the TV channel UA: Crimea, commented on the spread of coronavirus infection in the occupied Crimea against the backdrop of mass events on the peninsula. According to him, one of the priorities today is to inform Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territories about the threat posed by the coronavirus.
“The Ukrainian state should prepare for the fact that there may be mass transitions of our citizens from the occupied territories to the territories controlled by Ukraine, especially from the Temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Why the Temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions? Because the Russian authorities consider Crimea their own territory and will take measures, and in the territory of Donbas they will not pay any attention, because there will not be enough forces, resources and qualified specialists to deal with epidemic outbreaks of coronavirus in various regions of Russia itself”, - said Bariiev.
He also appealed to his compatriots in the occupied Crimea with an appeal to stay at home and protect their health.
