July 8, 2019

Participants of the “Freedom Camp” international summer camp congratulated Ukraine on Navy Day and demanded the execution of the Order of the UN International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and the release of the Ukrainian prisoners of war.

Previously, camp participants and activists of the international movement for the de-occupation of Crimea and solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people #LIBERATECRIMEA at the Chonhar checkpoint on the administrative border with the occupied Crimea unfolded the Crimean Tatar flag, which traveled around the world for 9 months within the framework of the “United by Flag – #LIBERATECRIMEA” campaign and visited 28 countries and 4 continents.

We remind that on June 30 in Henichesk (Kherson region) the work of the International summer camp “Freedom Camp” began, where the participants from different parts of Ukraine and Europe took part. The purpose of the camp is to unite young people, exchange experiences, receive information about liberation movements around the world, liberal values, methods of non-violent resistance, UN mechanisms for protecting human rights and the rights of indigenous peoples, etc.

The Freedom Camp was organized by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center with the support of the Representative Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and the Estonian Institute of Human Rights.
