The documentary A Struggle for Home: the Crimean Tatars was presented in the USA

On Wednesday, May 18, a documentary film directed by Christina Pashyn A Struggle for Home: the Crimean Tatars was screened online at Northwestern University (Northwestern University) in the USA in Ivanston, Illinois. Manager of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Zarema Bariieva took part in this event, talking about the current situation of the Crimean Tatar people.

The memory of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people was honored at the international level (full video of the rally)

On Wednesday, May 18, an international mourning online rally dedicated to the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people was held. The broadcast of the rally was watched all over the world, and representatives of the Seimas of Latvia, the President of Turkey, the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, as well as activists, politicians, diplomats and representatives of the Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian diasporas from around the world joined to show solidarity with the Crimean Tatars.

On May 18, 2022, we marked the 78th anniversary of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people. On this day, the whole world honors the memory of the victims of this terrible crime and expresses its solidarity with the Crimean Tatars living on the territory of Ukraine and beyond.

Canada recognizes deportation of Crimean Tatars as act of genocide

The House of Commons of Canada recognized the total deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944 as an act of genocide. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Yuliia Kovaliv on her Facebook page.

CTRC handed over to the US Embassy a package of documents for recognition the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as an act of genocide

On Friday, October 1, representatives of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center met with US staff in Ukraine Patrick Knapp and Tetiana Stechak. The diplomats were told about human rights violations in the occupied Crimea and about the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people in 1944, which continues to this day.

The CTRC is currently working on the recognition of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as an act of genocide with 25 countries

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center is working on recognition of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as an act of genocide with 25 countries. This was underlined by the Head of the Board of CTRC, a representative of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Eskender Bariiev. It was noted that by the end of the year parliaments of at least two other European countries might recognize the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as genocide as well.

By the end the year, the parliaments of at least three European countries may recognize the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as genocide. Such forecasts were voiced in an interview with Radio Hayat by the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, a member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev.

Witnesses of the 1944 Genocide (video)

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center presents a short version of the documentary "Witnesses of the 1944 Genocide". In the video clip, the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people shared their memories of May 1944, and representatives of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the Prosecutor's Office of the AR of Crimea, as well as a lawyer, judge, historian and international lawyer told about the investigation of the Deportation as an act of genocide and the importance of passing an appropriate court decision.
