Ukraine adopted the first legal act for the implementation of the Law of Ukraine On the Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine

On Tuesday, August 23, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a normative legal act The procedure for securing the legal status of the representative body of the indigenous people of Ukraine and depriving such status.

This is the first legal act adopted specifically for the implementation of the Law of Ukraine On the Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine.

Now the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people can submit documents to acquire the legal status of a representative body of the indigenous people.

We remind you that, according to our data, it is still necessary to adopt about 15 by-laws and amend at least 10 legislative acts of Ukraine.
