Putin wants to increase the number of tourists in Crimea to 10 million people a year

On Thursday, March 18, during a video conference on the occupied Crimea, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said that by 2025 “we must reach the figure of 10 million tourists per year.”

“Last year, with all the difficulties caused by the epidemic, 6.9 million people came to Crimea on vacation. This is, of course, less than a year before, there were 8 million, but it's still a lot. By the year 2025 we have to reach the number of 10 million tourists per year” – he stated.

Putin emphasized that  the peninsula “has to meet the highest world standards”.
