On Sunday, March 7, the youth military-patriotic public movement Yunarmiya held a competition on the eve of the celebration of International Women’s Day. More than 50 girls in military uniform took part in the event, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
“Only girls took part in the competition. The competition was held on the basis of one of the secondary educational schools in Simferopol. The girls competed among themselves in cooking, sewing and tailoring, as well as in sports competitions. The winners were chosen both in individual championships and in team events”, – the message said.
It is noted that more than 50 girls of different ages from several educational institutions of Simferopol took part in the competition.
We remind that military exercises, propaganda of military service and conscription into the ranks of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held in the occupied Crimea. The Russian military exercises are destroying the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a flagrant violation of international law.
Earlier, NATO in its statement on Crimea condemned Russia's ongoing large-scale military build-up in Crimea and expressed concern over Russia's efforts and announced plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
