On Friday, February 26, the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on the international community to increase political and sanctions pressure on Russia to end its occupation of the peninsula and release all political prisoners in the Kremlin.

“Ukraine is grateful to allies and partners for consistent and effective support in the struggle to restore territorial integrity. The international community must increase political and sanctions pressure on Russia in order to persuade it to liberate the occupied Ukrainian territories, release prisoners of war and political prisoners, and implement international court decisions”,- the statement said.

The ministry stressed that Ukraine continues to consolidate international efforts to achieve the complete de-occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol and bring Russia to justice for its crimes.
