Occupants fined 9 Crimeans for calls to participate in a rally in support of Navalny

The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Crimea reports that 9 Crimeans were fined for calling for participation in a rally in support of Russian opposition leader Aleksei Navalny. One of the detainees was also subjected to administrative arrest by a court decision.

Crimeans were accused of violating Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code of Russia “Violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, meeting, demonstration, march or picketing.”

“The identities of nine young people involved in the posting of information have been identified, the overwhelming majority of whom are minors. Also, older persons have been identified, in relation to whom there is information about the incitement of adolescents to post illegal appeals via their Internet pages”,- the message said.

It is noted that all activists were assigned an administrative fine, while one of those detained by a court decision was simultaneously subjected to administrative arrest.

We remind that from 22 to 24 January, the so-called judge of the Lenin District Court of the occupied Sevastopol, Andrei Grachev, found 12 activists guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the RF Code due to participation in an action in support of the Russian opposition leader Aleksei Navalny.
