The figurant of the "Ukrainian saboteurs" case Evgeniy Panov was transfered to Siberia

The figurant of the "Ukrainian saboteurs" case Evgeniy Panov who had previously been taken out of Crimea, transfered to Siberia. At the moment he is on the way to Tyumen. According to the relatives, the final destination point may be the city of Omsk. The brother of the political prisoner Igor Kotelyanets informed the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

According to Kotelyanets, relatives now have no direct connection with Yevgeniy Panov, however, according to the available information, it is known that he was first taken out of Crimea to Krasnodar, and then transferred to Orenburg, from Orenburg - to Chelyabinsk. At the moment, Panov is on the way to Tyumen. As relatives suggested the Russian city of Omsk may become the final point of destination.

Also Kotelyanets noted that Panov's health deteriorated, in particular, he has problems with his front teeth. He also suffers from chronic diseases, his knees and joints hurt. According to the brother, he limps when walking.

On December 5, 2018, it became known that Evgeniy Panov was transferred from Moscow to Simferopol. Later, the lawyer Olga Dinze reported that the man was again transferred from Crimea to Russia, to Krasnodar. For some time, the   Panov's whereabouts remained unknown. On January 3, 2019, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova appealed to Russia's Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova, Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation, Gennady Kornienko Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation and adviser to the envoy of Ukraine’s temporary attorney on Ukraine’s affairs in the Russian Federation, Vasily Pokotilo, with a request to inform about Evgeniy Panov's whereabouts. 

Reference: on August 10, 2016  FSB announced  about the prevention of a terrorist attack in Crimea, allegedly prepared by the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Later Evgeniy Panov, Andrei Zakhtei, and others were arrested, accused  of participation in "sabotage." The Ukrainian side rejected any accusations and called it a provocation.

On July 13, 2018, the Supreme "court" of Crimea sentenced the figurant of the " Ukrainian saboteurs" case Evgeniy Panov to 8 years in a strict regime colony.
